Great food, great people the staff is awesome. I go clear across town to eat there. Will go back again and again. I get hungry just thinking about it. Need a bigger sign. GPS doesn't take you to the right driveway. The Pub sits in the back facing sideways a little hard to find ,but once you do it's worth it. Thank you Brianna's Irish Pub you make a night out a special night every time. Sindy
As of this posting, Brianna's has been open for just over one month, and it shows. The place feels empty, especially considering that there is a massive room visible when you walk in that is entirely empty and only partly blocked from view. The food itself was okay. I had the shepherd's pie. Pretty good, meat and potatoes meal. The onion rings that I got with it were okay, but the sauce to dip them in was basically mayo. They were out of the seafood chowder, so my girlfriend got a shrimp po boy. She was not pleased with it. It didn't come with any sauce, and when we asked for it, we got a slightly-less-mayonnaisey version of the onion rings' sauce. She did like the French fries, though. All in all, not a wonderful pub dining experience, but I will give them another shot once they've had time to establish themselves.
We went there last night for dinner....the food was fantastic...I had Sheppard's pie and my husband had Brisket special, it tasted like homemade fresh food. We sat on the patio and had an outstanding service provided by Patrick. We will be back to try other food selections!!
Service was outstanding. Good selection of draft beer as well as a variety of liquor options. Great menu. I chose the fish and chips and was extremely pleased. I also ordered the lamb stew to take home. I haven't tried it yet,but if it is as good as it smells I know I will not be disappointed.
Another great meal tonight with a couple cold beverages too! Third meal I've eaten here and all have been good. A great place for a bite to eat, cold ones and to socialize with friends or family.
I was able to visit Brianna's during a soft-opening two weeks ago. It was just before Hurricane Irma hit so the general sense of the town was that of stress and anxiety causing traffic to be generally worse than normal. However, my friend and I decided to meet for dinner for an early birthday celebration. As we entered the restaurant we were immediately given a warm welcome by the hostess, a waiter and the manager. As we were given the option of choosing a table we took a quick peak around to get our bearings. The restaurant is nicely divided into two spacious rooms with one serving as a more "sports-bar" setting and the second as a more quiet, but equally cheery room. There was also outside seating but be choose the quiet room instead so that we could catch up. We were presented with menus that had a nice selection of choices (not too little but also not over-whelming number) in both food and beer/drinks. My friend and I decided on a couple beers and the BBQ wings and Potato Skins to start. The wings were, absolutely, the best I have had in Gainesville. Perfectly juicy, great flavor and neither greasy nor over-salted. The potato skins were also fantastic. The potatoes they use aren't the skinny anemic ones you find at so many other restaurants but flavorful with perfectly crispy skin, melted cheese and crisp bacon (again, all done while managing to avoid too much grease and salt). Next we ordered the Pub Burger with crisps (chips) and the Lamb Stew with added chips (fries). The burger was perfectly cooked (again, something I find hard to get in the area) and juicy with a correct ratio of meat to bread (i.e. more meat than bread). The crisps were light and, well crispy, and the chips were deliciously fresh and well-seasoned. Again, it seems as though Brianna's actually uses real, high-quality potatoes here. The lamb stew was also fantastic and reminded me of something my Welsh family would make for me at home. We finished the meal with the cinnamon-sugared pretzels and the cheesecake. The pretzels were fun and a sizable portion but the cheesecake won the dessert round. I was so impressed that I had to ask a waitress whether it was made in house (it is) because I would never imagine an Irish Pub serving something so light yet so rich. Overall, I was quite impressed with this new restaurant. There is room for improvement as the waitstaff still seemed to be finding their flow and getting timing right. The indoor decor is also a work in progress but, again, this is to be expected at a soft-opening of a locally owned restaurant. Other than that, the only issues I saw arise was that it would have been nice to have had a piece of bread to sop of the rest of the luscious lamb stew and I wish we had ordered more wings. A long and stressful day should be concluded with a warm welcome, a cold beer and a hot plate of good food and this is just what we found at Brianna's. We will certainly be returning in the future
First time there today and it was very good. 75 cent lemon pepper wings and husband got the buffalo chicken sandwich. The chicken breast was a nice hearty, filling size and the wings were great. Definitely will be back. Patrick was also very attentive and demonstrated great customer service.
Date night with the main squeeze went exceptionally well! Thanks Patrick for providing great service along with your staff! Such a welcoming atmosphere to relax and enjoy the #Great food in!!
